My Dream Speech

I Have A Dream:
I’m going to ask you all to remember the last time you skipped breakfast. That feeling of pain in your stomach when you don’t have the nutrients you need to carry on for the day. Now imagine missing two days of breakfast, (pause) five days, (pause) ten days. With every minute the pain grows. Now imagine this, never being able to eat breakfast ever again.  We imagine the pain as unbearable, yet this is what millions of people around the world experience endlessly. Now can you just imagine that?
As we all know, there are kids who do not have very much food and are suffering from hunger; however I don’t think that many people realize the severity of this situation. These innocent people are malnourished and unhealthily underweight. They may receive one meal of mere scraps every day, if that. We seem to take for granted the availability of food that we have, Delicious desserts, mouthwatering dinners, and nutritious breakfasts. Imagine losing all of that and being left with practically nothing. No more bacon and egg breakfasts, chicken tender lunches, or steak dinners. We would receive one bowl that was made up of leftover scraps, and whatever else our providers could scavenge. This is what so many people are forced to live through. Kids under the age of ten doubled over in pain with their parents just wondering what they did wrong. Why were their kids so sick and why were they chosen. There are children asking for more and others behind them who never received any food at all. Every night millions of children go to bed with empty stomachs and high hopes that tomorrow will be a better day, but in their hearts they know it won’t. Just picture this sight.
Please help by donating. Give these young, hungry kids a chance at life and allow starving adults to be able to continue with theirs. This is no joking matter, we need your help. Picture yourself as a young child counting down the days you have left and waiting for the pain to stop. Is this really a good world to live in? Just think of these people and imagine, (pause) what if it were you.

  1. This is a very good speach and it made me think of all the poor people in this world who have nothing to eat while I can eat whatever I want. If I could do anything to stop world hunger I would.
